Shark in the Dark Presents “A Wolf in the Night” | Friday the 13th
Attention San Francisco tribe members! Go rage with these guys AND support a good cause. Here are the details taken from their Facebook:
Come howl at the moon on Friday the 13th, January 2012 as we transform SOM Bar into a furry, electronic wonderland. Think full moons, foggy nights, bright lights, and dirty beats. 1000 glow sticks will be handed out upon arrival. If you’ve been to Shark in the Dark, then this is a can’t miss.
The company SpiritHoods has been kind enough to jump on board with the event and will be giving away an authentic Spirit Hood. Details to come. We will also have the Desired Temptations, dressed as sexy wolves, dancing on stage.

Wolf Wednesday
Wolf Wednesday is about the power of people working together, like a wolf pack, to make our wolf pack stronger. Each and every Wednesday, we find a new way you can get involved in your community through new organizations. Today is all about helping people with physical and/or developmental disabilities. The Special Olympics happen internationally, so you can get involved no matter where you are. Since 1968, the Special Olympics have given people with disabilities the opportunity to build themselves up physically, emotionally, intellectually, and socially.
Volunteering with the Special Olympics is also a really fun experience. Personally, I’ve volunteered for the past several years and every single time I have come away inspired and with a better attitude. It’s also a good opportunity to meet with other volunteers at the event, talk about why they decided to volunteer, and even make a few friends in the process.
You can learn about the numerous volunteer programs on the Special Olympics website, find an location near you, and also learn about how the Special Olympics have changed the lives of so many wonderful people. If you love sports and you’re interested in coaching; if you’re in the medical field and you’d like to provide your expertise in sports medicine; even if you just want to stand at the end of the race and hug the athletes when they cross the finish line – there’s something for everyone.

As I’m sure you are all aware, we’ve released some hot new styles including the Tiger hood. These things are sexy and I know you all are dying to get your paws on them so we’ve decided to give you all an opportunity to not only win one of these amazing hoods, but be a part of something big. Chimpanzees freed after 30 Years as Lab Animals
After being cooped up in a lab and used for HIV and hepatitis experiments, a group of 38 chimpanzees set foot in daylight for the first time in 30 years.
Although these chimps haven’t been used for testing in nearly 10 years, their fate was unknown. The animal sanctuary set to adopt these chimps went bankrupt, leaving them without a home. Groups like PETA worked and petitioned to keep them together and now, they’ve finally found a home.
