Average Lifespan: 13 to 17 years. Possible Lifespan: Up to 20 years or more. Indoor cats tend to live longer due to a safer environment, regular meals, and consistent veterinary care. Some indoor cats have been known to live into their early twenties. Outdoor cats' average lifespan is 5-7 years.
Estimated Population: While it is difficult to determine the exact global population of cats, estimates suggest there are between 400 million and 600 million domesticated cats worldwide, with an additional significant population of feral and stray cats.
